Most of students diagnosed with learning disabilities and a-d-h-d aremale. And boys are also more like to get d's and f's in school. Butwhy? Many educators say the problem isn't boys, it's the way they aretaught. There are New brain research results. HI --
I recently saw an article (New York Times, perhaps?) which suggests thatthe evidence is not so clear as that. It appears that the issue isrelated as much to socio-economic status as to gender. That is, boysfrom wealthier, educated families do just fine compared to girls. It'sboys from less wealthy, educated families who get into academic trouble, etc, more often than girls from the same background.
